New online course unleashes the writer in all of us.
Every business must continue to evolve or run the risk of becoming irrelevant and ultimately, fail. This is true of organisations in the arts as well.
Just two years ago JUTE Theatre Company recognised the need to challenge it’s own business model and innovate, in an effort to reach a much larger audience; a global audience.
JUTE had successfully delivered the acclaimed Enter Stage Write program for years hence the decision was made to adapt this course and develop an online education platform. The result is
Write Out Loud.
Award winning playwright, Kathryn Ash helps aspiring writers bring their stories to life on paper with JUTE Theatre Company’s innovative Write Out Loud.
Created in collaboration with Kathryn Ash, Write Out Loud is a self-paced, online, creative writing journey that was launched last month. Membership gives participants access to nine inspiring
modules that take them on a journey that unlocks creativity through storytelling.
“Everyone has a story in them. The challenge is to get started. Write big ideas and write a lot. That is what Write Out Loud is all about,” says Kathryn Ash.
Perfect as gift for those that have always dreamed of becoming a writer, some of Write out Loud’s key exercises include:
Grasping the “Big Idea”.
In this exercise participants learn to look at the bigger picture, and relate the hero to the main concept in the story.
This exercise is used to pin board all ideas that visually depict the story world.
“Memorable hero” & “Ultimate Villain”.
These exercises encourage participants to experiment with their characters and follow procedures to think deeper.
Let’s Make a Scene!
Participants are invited to follow tips and tricks that will help them write their first scene; they will also discover the audience’s point of view.
According to Kathryn, this is a special opportunity to collaborate and share creative sparks with an exclusive online community.
Write Out Loud is now live!
