Write Sparks 101
Our Write Sparks 101 writing development stream is open to first-time participants to the Write Sparks program, new regional writers with little or no knowledge of writing stories for performance. The program has almost wrapped for 2018, but please do contact us if you are interested in the 2019 program. We will be calling for applications in January/February next year, and are especially interested to hear from writers from culturally or linguistically diverse backgrounds.
Write Sparks’ Writers-in-Residence stream is for experienced playwrights who wish to extend their writing practice and work toward a finished writing draft of a full-length play for theatre production. In 2018 JUTE hosted 8 regional playwrights in our residency program, and developed their 8 new works. Look forward to hearing more about them in 2019!
